Prof. Hongwei Yao is a highly respected colorectal surgeon with extensive expertise in gastrointestinal surgery, particularly in precision medicine, multidisciplinary treatment of colorectal cancer and liver metastases, and advanced laparoscopic and transanal minimally invasive surgery (TaTME). He serves as the Chief of the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at Beijing Friendship Hospital, a leading institution affiliated with Capital Medical University.
Prof. Yao earned his medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center and later completed a PhD in Surgery at Peking University.
