Professor Lianxin Liu is Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and Party Secretary of the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC (Anhui Provincial Hospital). He is a distinguished clinician-scientist specializing in hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal cancers, with extensive expertise in translational oncology research.
Professor Liu has long been dedicated to basic and translational research in malignant tumors of the digestive system, particularly in hepatobiliary cancers. His research focuses on tumor metabolism, molecular mechanisms of cancer progression, and translational strategies for cancer therapy.
He has led numerous national research programs and has published extensively in leading international journals, including Nature, Cancer Discovery, Cell Metabolism, Nature Cancer, Gut, and Journal of Hepatology. His research has significantly advanced the understanding of tumor biology and precision cancer treatment.
Professor Liu has received multiple prestigious national honors, including recognition as a National Distinguished Young Expert and Young Scientist Leader in Science and Technology Innovation. Through his academic leadership and research contributions, he has played a key role in advancing cancer research and clinical innovation in China.
